  7. That Hydra definitely looked like a rip-off.

  8. Its simply called “Conan”

  9. another GOD OF WAR shit? lol joke

  10. Yeah, that’s the way Howard said they were related to him by the spirit of Conan or some such thing. I just would like to see the movies follow the books verbatim, except in chronological order..to give it more of a saga feeling if they plan on doing a bunch. Right about Stone too, he’s a twat

  11. The way I saw it it was like Conan telling war stories around the camp fire, kinda like “Did I tell the one were I..”. Perhaps they thought Thulsa Doom sounded better? The script was written by Oliver Stone so what you expect?

  12. Yeah, but that’s not the logical first step, because when you look at his adventures chronologically, it makes for a massive life-spanning epic that culminantes with him claiming, then fighting to keep, the Aquilonian crown. And I know about Thulsa Doom being Thoth-Amon, but why snag the name Thulsa Doom from the Kull stories. It makes more sense to just make something up. Lack of imagination.

  13. The first Conan story was The Phoenix on the Sword were he is already king of Aquillonia. And the Thulsa Doom in the movie was basicly Thoth Amon with a different name.

  14. What EXACTLY is this game calleD?

  15. Well it was just that ive been wondering if they would do it like the books and start with an older actor and the King conan books and the films shown in that sorta way, or with him and a young man with all the adventures ahead of him. Just think it may be easier to write it as an older Conan for the 1st remake film. Well i bought the comlete cronicals of Conan last week so i think im reading them in the order they were wrote. Any Good books on Kull i should read?

  16. The story of Conan does begin with him as a young man…I’m pretty sure that The Frost Giant’s Daughter is Conan’s youngest appearance, and 1st recorded adventure, after that, it might be Tower of the Elephant. They were not written in a youngest-to-oldest style, but Howard still meant for him to have a cohesive timeline of events, beginning with his birth on the battlefield in a Cimmerian battle against Vanir and Aesir enemies. Read the Hyborian Age by Howard to get the comprehensive full story

  17. Well, Howard didnt write the books in any chronological fashion, but there is definitely a “Conan timeline” of events. The 1st film had nothing to do with the books at all. Conan’s village is not destroyed by Thulsa Doom, and he is not taken as a slave when he’s a child. Thulsa Doom is actually a villain from Kull, not Conan. It just upset me that Milius twisted the true timelines and story to suit his movie, and then he got all this credit for storytelling. Also Subotai is not in any books.

  18. o yea also another reason i love the 1982 film is as if i hadnt of seen it ever id probably not ever have read the books. Malack and akiro werent in the origional script of destroyer and it was explained that subotai was exiucted for theifing by a guy who conan then killed for that action and is in jail but reliesed if he goes on a quest etc. Why was conan wearing his slave helmet in the 2nd film??? and whyd his clothes keep changing? Arnold was made to be to heavy and just didnt look right.

  19. Well i think it was ment to be like that in the first film as milius said he wanted the films to go on like the james bond films, i guess that conan was ment to develop in the other films. The scripts for Kull were really good but the director wouldnt do anything he couldnt clame credit for hence changed diolioge and scripts. hope they keep it very like the books this film coming but seeing as the stories start with king conan not younger. just read the scarlet citadel and itd be a great film

  20. Yeah, I have the complete Conan collection of books, and I’m just very protective of my favorite dynamic literary figure. He’s just such an incredible badass in every way in the books, Arnold just came across ax a giant retard with a sword and muscles. But, I did like the 1st movie alot more before I read the books. I have to agree, the second one was terrible, as was Kull. The books are so fantasitc and action packed, the movie will be great if they just stick to the story. It doesn’t need help

  21. well the 1st one may not have been as accurate but it was a great film (in my op 10 fav films), the second was pretty bad as the script got rewritten to be more child friendly, and had a very crap director (same happened to Kill The Conqueror). Have been a bit iffy about the new 1 but started reading the books and if its anything like them i may love it. Hoep it isnt ovewracted and we see proper fights as in the 1st films and not edited close ups to cover lack of any skill by actors.

  22. I think this game will be to ps3 and xb360, but not for wii

  23. Game looks ok and is probably fun with Wii controls but age of conan for the PC is much more true to form….and sadly yes Mako (Akiro) is dead….

  24. Well, the 1st one was okay…the second one was kinda pushing it. Also, since my first post I’ve seen beta-versions of the game played and from what I saw, it blows..this coming from someone who had very high hopes..oh well

  25. I’ve gotta disagree with you there from what I’ve heard this movie will be faithful to the books and Conan the Barbarian was a good movie maybe not that accurate but still good
